Cabozantinib, (Comarit) works for treating various types of cancer (including kidney, thyroid, prostate). Cabozantinib belongs to a class of drugs known as tyrosine kinase inhibitors. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. It’s a doctor prescription (Cometriq/ Cabozantinib) medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Comarit capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Side Effect:

The most common side effects of Cabozantinib are:

Dizziness, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, mouth sores, constipation, stomach pain, tiredness, weakness, weight loss, decreased appetite, taste changes, hoarseness, and lightening of hair color. Tell your doctor or pharmacist right away if any of these side effects persist or worsen.

Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because your doctor has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.

Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: redness/pain/swelling/blisters on the palms of your hands or soles of your feet, frothy urine, swelling of the hands/feet, cold intolerance, slow heartbeat, signs of a low calcium blood level (such as severe muscle spasms, mental/mood changes, seizures), symptoms of a jawbone problem (such as jaw pain, toothache, gum sores), poor wound healing, signs of liver problems (such as yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine).
