Gefitinib, (Getinib) works for treating of patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose tumors have epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) exon 19 deletions or exon 21 tumors detected by an FDA-approved test (L858R) substitution mutation. Limitations of Use: The safety and efficacy of tumors other than exon 19 deletions or exon 21 (L858R) substitution mutations have not been established for metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. Side Effect:
The most common side effects of Gefitinib are:
