GEMFIBROZIL (LOPID) works along with a proper diet to help lower fats (triglycerides) and raise “good” cholesterol (HDL) in the blood.  GEMFIBROZIL also helps to lower “bad” cholesterol (LDL).  It’s a doctor prescription (GEMFIBROZIL) medicine.

PFIZER Pharma LTD. of TURKEY mfg LOPID. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. LOPID tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

 

The most common side effects of GEMFIBROZIL are:

Stomach/abdominal pain, unusual taste, stomach upset. Tell your doctor or pharmacist right away if any of these side effects persist or worsen.
